Words implying government affiliation (such as “National,” “Belize,” “Royal,” or “Government”) and words suggesting regulated financial activity (“Bank,” “Trust,” “Insurance,” “Assurance,” “Chartered,” “Fund”) are restricted and typically require special consent or a license from the relevant regulator before the Registrar will approve them. Names that are offensive, misleading, or too similar to an existing entity are also refused.
